Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated 2026-06-13
This policy describes what you can and cannot do with MarioSMS. It applies to every account, regardless of plan, balance, or country of access. Violating it is grounds for account suspension, refusal of refunds, and (where the conduct is unlawful) referral to the relevant authorities.
Legitimate uses
MarioSMS exists so you don't have to give a permanent phone number to every service that asks for one. Common legitimate uses include:
- Keeping your personal number out of marketing and data-broker pipelines.
- Verifying a second account for a service you already use under a different identity (e.g. work and personal Telegram).
- Testing apps or sign-up flows in countries other than your own.
- Receiving a one-time code without exposing a long-term contact channel.
Prohibited uses
You agree not to use MarioSMS, directly or indirectly, for any of the following:
- Impersonation and identity fraud. You may not create accounts that misrepresent who you are with the intent to defraud, harass, or extract money or data from another person or organisation.
- Bypassing court orders or platform bans. If a service has lawfully banned you, you may not use MarioSMS to circumvent that ban.
- Spam, phishing, and scam operations. Including mass account creation for fake reviews, fake engagement, payment-scraping, or social-engineering campaigns.
- Child sexual abuse material. Any use connected to CSAM is permanently terminated and reported to NCMEC and the relevant authorities.
- Terrorism financing, sanctioned-entity dealings, or weapons trafficking.
- Harassment, doxing, stalking, or threats.
- Resale of activations as a service. Our pricing assumes end-user activation; reselling or wholesaling without a commercial agreement with us is prohibited.
- Automated abuse of the API or web interface beyond the documented rate limits.
Third-party service terms
Many services (e.g. WhatsApp, Telegram, Google, Facebook) have their own terms that may restrict how phone numbers can be used to verify accounts. Whether a particular rented-number use is permitted by a third-party service is between you and that service. MarioSMS does not warrant that any specific service will accept a number from us, and you remain responsible for compliance with the terms of any service you sign up to.
Sanctions and export controls
You confirm that you are not located in, ordinarily resident in, or organised under the laws of any jurisdiction subject to comprehensive sanctions by the United States (OFAC), the European Union, the United Kingdom, or the United Nations, and that you are not on any government denied-party list. We may refuse service, freeze balances, or terminate accounts where required by sanctions or export-control law.
One account per person
Each individual is entitled to one MarioSMS account. Multiple accounts to evade rate limits, KYC requirements, or balance restrictions are prohibited.
Reporting abuse
If you believe a MarioSMS account is being used in violation of this policy — including to target you personally — please contact us via the email address listed on the home page. We respond to credible abuse reports within five business days. Where the conduct is criminal, we cooperate with law-enforcement requests that are properly served on us.
Consequences of violation
We may suspend or terminate any account, withhold pending refunds, retain transaction records for the duration legally required, and report suspected criminal conduct to the relevant authorities. Termination for abuse does not entitle you to a refund of unspent balance.
Changes
We update this policy from time to time, particularly as legal or threat-landscape conditions change. Material changes will be flagged on your next sign-in.
